Crete...

...is the most southerly island in the Mediterranean. [Well almost; a tiny island lying just off the south coast of Crete technically takes the title.]
Both Moscow and Rekjavik are closer to London than Crete...

It is part of Greece but its identity is so strong that you feel you are in a separate country. Civilisation on Crete dates from around 3500 BC and is about 1000 years older than the famous Oracle of Delfi. The story of the Minotaur is based on the complexity of the Palace at Knossos and the dramatic and dangerous games involving bulls that were held there a long time ago-o-o-o.

OUR HOUSE ... NOW SOLD
... to PAY FOR IMAGIANATION

A HOUSE FOR YOU
You can have one like this - more being built as you read this. This was our third investment property; the first two have also been sold. Click to see the photos. Only 2km from the sea, and you can also see the highest mountain in Crete behind the house - the cave where Zeus is reputed to have grown up [to avoid being eaten by his fearful father Cronos, who he was predicted to replace as King of the Gods... which he did...] His lightning bolts are still great to witness in a good storm on Crete... though the average rainfall in July and August is .... ZERO.
